The Rainforest Hideaway was a delightful and unique place to stay. The decoration of the hotel's general areas was charming and had a rustic feel that fit perfectly with the rainforest surroundings. As a senior woman, I appreciated the accessibility of the hotel. Despite being nestled in the rainforest, the pathways were well maintained and easy to navigate, allowing me to explore and enjoy the beautiful scenery without any difficulties.
I would have loved to have more seating options around the hotel's common areas for senior guests to rest and relax.

Loved the unlimited cruises with the "Croc Pass"! Basic cooking facilities were perfect for outdoor lovers who still want comfort. Deep inside the lush rainforest, the cabin offered a real jungle experience surrounded by wildlife. Crocodile Express and Dan Irby's Mangrove Adventures were personal and informative. Snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef was a must-do. Jungle Surfing Canopy Tours allowed me to fly with the birds. The swivel seats were a refreshing change. Riding a horse in the rainforest was a unique experience. The tree-top platforms were exhilarating.
Oh, what didn't I like? It was all just perfect.

Our family had an incredible time exploring the stunning beauty of Cape Tribulation on a classic 4WD tour. We were amazed by the picturesque creeks, and the stops along the way, like the Strangler Fig and Woobadda Creek, offered breathtaking sightseeing opportunities. The kids were thrilled to spot various plants and wildlife during the tour, adding an educational aspect to the adventure. It was the perfect way to immerse ourselves in the natural wonders of the rainforest.
My children wanted more family-friendly activities at the hotel, like a playground or organized kids' games.

The cabin at Rainforest Hideaway was just what I needed - cozy and surrounded by nature. The rainforest views from the back deck were breathtaking, and I loved having my morning coffee while soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. The free Wi-Fi was a bonus for staying connected with my friends and family during my stay. it was the perfect retreat for an adventurous low-budget traveler like me.
The only thing I personally didn't enjoy was the limited free Wi-Fi. But hey, if you're looking to disconnect and fully immerse yourself in the rainforest, you might actually appreciate it.
